Our History
The journey of Touch Lives PLB began many years ago when Missionary Louis Baidoo, homeless and wandering the streets of New Tafo-Akyem, received a divine vision that led him to Akyem Tontro, a small village where he was called to minister for seven years. Facing significant challenges, including hunger and homelessness, Missionary Louis endured these trials with faith, knowing that God was preparing him for a greater mission. With the support of a local family, he began his ministry in Akyem Tontro, organizing prayer meetings and all-night services for a community that was largely unfamiliar with Christianity.
As the ministry grew, Missionary Louis felt a deep conviction to always care for the poor, orphans, and widows, recognizing that his own hardships had been a preparation for this calling. Supported by a fellow missionary, Samuel Agyei Mensah (SAMENS), he organized the first Touch Lives PLB outreach in 2010, bringing food, clothing, and hope to the people of Akyem Tontro. Since then, the initiative has expanded to serve several other communities across Ghana, impacting thousands of lives each year.

Lasting change
The tangible impact of Touch Lives PLB is evident in the development of communities like Akyem Tontro, where Missionary Louis and his team have provided borehole water, educational sponsorships, medical aid, and even supported the construction of a Presbyterian church. One notable success story is that of a young man from the village who, with the help of Touch Lives PLB, gained admission to the University of Ghana and later earned a scholarship to study in Norway. This program continues to transform lives and communities by God’s grace.
